I am a Canadian entomologist with strong interests in species discovery, accessible taxonomy, and Diptera systematics. My past work has focused on the phylogeny and taxonomy of problematic flower fly (Diptera: Syrphidae) groups, and creating richly illustrated identification tools. More recently, I have focused on the evolution of lower Cyclorrhaphan Diptera in order to better the placement of controversial taxa in the tree of life.
I have recently accepted a position as Assistant Professor of systematic entomology at the University of Guelph in Ontario Canada. |
